Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Identify three outcomes measures that are appropriate for the pediatric population.
  2. Describe the classifications for radial longitudinal deficiency and thumb hypoplasia.
  3. Discuss typical posturing of the upper extremity in a child with cerebral palsy.
  4. Describe the differing characteristics of juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
  5. Distinguish flexor and extensor tendon rehabilitation in a pediatric patient from that of an adult patient.
  6. Discuss the difference between peripheral and central sensitization and how this manifests in children.
