International Relations - Extending and Receiving a Hand

Posted by Dan Bash, Practice Division Director 07/09/2012

The advent of electronic media allows instant communication throughout the world with a rapid exchange of ideas and knowledge.  This technology has encouraged more hand therapists to interact within the international community.  A therapist or clinic in one country can have an in-service with a therapist or clinic in another country via such programs as Skype.  Therapists from around the world can share clinical and scientific information through the Internet.  No one needs to feel alone, unsupported or without mentors.  Guidance is only a mouse click away.
ASHT has an International Committee (IC).  The activities of the IC are expanding exponentially to provide communication and education worldwide.  We invite the international community to attend our Annual Meeting and to look for future educational content online.  We also invite you to share with us new technological advances that you are using with your patients such as new apps and interesting web sites that we may share with our members.
