Wesley College recently announced ASHT member Sharon Wong as the new assistant professor for the master of occupational therapy program.

Wesley College announced Sharon Wong as the new assistant professor for the master of occupational therapy program. She has more than 17 years of experience in the acute care, home health and rehabilitation industry.

“The MOT program has more than doubled in size since we started the program,” said Chair & Director of Graduate Programs in Occupational Therapy Dr. Varleisha Gibbs. “Sharon will be a great addition to the team with her extensive experience.”

Wong received her bachelor of science in exercise physiology from Rutgers University and furthered her education at Boston University, receiving her master of science in occupational therapy.  

Wong most recently worked at Bayhealth in Dover for more than 10 years doing outpatient hand therapy, acute care, and home health. Previously she worked at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA and Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC. She will be completing her doctorate degree in occupational therapy in May 2018.
