One of the privileges afforded to us as hand therapists is to serve our profession. A wonderful way to do that is to run for office and contribute to decisions about the direction of our specialty. Nominations are now open for those interested in participating in the governance of our society.
Available positions in 2014 are Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer-Elect and two openings for Board Member-at-Large. Board Member-at-Large is an entry position open to anyone who has been an ASHT member for at least four consecutive years. Secretary/Treasurer-Elect and Vice President are open to members who have served on the Board of Directors in the past two years.
I urge those of you who are interested in continuing and progressing the work of your society to consider running for office. Please feel free to contact me personally if you want to discuss or have any questions.
