Do you feel it in the air? The feeling of outrageous excitement? We are not talking about all the kids getting out of school for summer break. We are talking about Hand Therapy Week happening June 3-9, 2019. This is our time to shine for the world to see!

Since 1993, ASHT has held this week-long event the first full week of June to raise awareness about what hand therapy is and who we are as hand therapists. ASHT has an abundance of resources to help! The Hand Therapy Week page is stacked with fresh ideas and information.

Videos and more!
There is a goldmine of hand safety and injury prevention videos, handouts and blogs that can be used for your Hand Therapy Week campaign. We’re also excited to announce a new hand safety and injury prevention video related to ergonomics, which will be released at the start of Hand Therapy Week. This video is part of a series created last year, and we encourage you to share our gardening safety and portable electronics videos this year, as well!

Give your patients a voice!
Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to raise awareness. The patient testimonials page gives patients and therapists a way to share their stories throughout the year. If you feel you don’t have time to create something for Hand Therapy Week, use the great patient testimonial videos ASHT produced. You can share the links on your webpages and social media as well.

Inspiration!
It’s also a time to inspire each other and share what’s going on in your corner of the hand therapy world. It’s an opportunity for us to celebrate and make connections with each other. Our community of therapists are creative and vibrant. Please reach out and connect with your fellow therapists! Post what’s happening with you on the ASHT Facebook page and on Twitter, and be sure to use #HTW2019.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Happy Hand Therapy Week!
