The following organizations accept medical textbooks for donation to appropriate medical outreach efforts. Please contact them prior to shipping any materials to be sure that your donation can be utilized.*

Better World Books
Better World Books collects and sells books online to fund literacy initiatives worldwide. With more than two million new and used titles in stock, They are a self-sustaining, triple-bottom-line company that creates social, economic and environmental value for all our stakeholders.

Better World Books donations benefit one of their four main nonprofit partners: Books for Africa, Room to Read, National Center for Family Literacy and World Fund. To support the important work of one of these groups, please send your books, postage paid, to the address below – making sure to indicate which of our partners you want your donation to benefit by writing their name in the attention line of the package.

Books for Africa
The mission of Books For Africa is to end the book famine in Africa. They are helping create a culture of literacy and provide the tools of empowerment to the next generation of parents, teachers, and leaders in Africa. Books donated by publishers, schools, libraries, individuals, and organizations are sorted and packed by volunteers who carefully choose books that are age and subject appropriate.

Please ship books “Media” rate from the post office ($19 for every 50 pounds) to:

Please include a full name and address in the box, which the warehouse will forward to me. I will send you a thank you letter for “your donation of books,” the valuation of the books is up to you to determine. Also, save the shipping receipt, also tax deductible!

Bridge to Asia
Bridge to Asia is the largest such program in China where it sends 500,000 books per year to more than 500 universities, seeks donations of used and new academic and scholarly books, journals, databases and other materials in health and medicine and all fields of arts and sciences. Thanks to the generosity of its donors, in recent years the program has provided more than half of all foreign language materials acquired by Chinese universities overall. Bridge is a 510(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 1987, and donations of books, shipping costs, and funds are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Sudan-American Foundation for Education, Inc, (SAFE)
Since 1985, we have delivered over 275,000 books to 60+ Sudanese libraries, colleges and universities and nongovernmental organizations (NGO's) In addition, SAFE has sponsored various humanitarian projects for the benefit of displaced persons and children. SAFE operates entirely with volunteers. Officers, directors and others volunteer their services. There is no paid staff. Financial contributions are used only to pay for operational expenses that cannot be obtained gratis.
