What is Cubital Tunnel Syndrome?
Cubital Tunnel Syndrome occurs when the ulnar nerve in the elbow region is compressed, or it is under friction or traction. Cubital Tunnel Syndrome is the 2nd most common entrapment condition in the upper extremity. Treatment for the condition can vary from non-operative (conservative) treatment in less serious cases, to more advanced conditions that require surgery and post-operative rehabilitation.
What Causes Cubital Tunnel Syndrome?
Cubital Tunnel Syndrome is a condition that can be caused by a number of different factors. It may occur because of direct trauma to the elbow or displacement of the nerve. It may also occur due to stretching the nerve by performing certain repetitive tasks, such as doing a job that requires you to constantly reach above your head and flex your elbow for long periods of time.
