If you saw our eblast on April 14 “The listserv got away on us!”, you’ll know our listserv went live before we were ready. Please accept our sincere apology for the unexpected flood of email. It was as much of a surprise to us as it was to you. We have been listening to your ideas and suggestions and speaking to our listserv company to assess how to best continue.
From the feedback we’ve received, it looks as if we need to establish more listservs around key topics, and allow members to sign up, rather than subscribing all and allowing members to unsubscribe.
We see the ASHT listservs as a valuable member benefit and want to configure them to best meet your needs. We certainly don’t want to cause our members inconvenience or extra work.
The next step: We have taken the listservs off line. We will reconfigure them and relaunch within the next week on a subscribe only basis.
