The goal of ASHT's Government News Center is to help ASHT members become more aware of government legislation and regulation, while giving them a better understanding of how it affects their individual healthcare practice. This resource is divided into 4 main sections:

"Hot Issues":   Lists and explains the most prevalent industry issues with links to relevant legislation

Federal Legislation:   Lists relevant bills in the U.S. Congress, their sponsors, links to full bill text, and a brief explanation of how it might impact an ASHT member's life and practice

Federal Agencies:   Lists and summarizes important announcements and events in the executive branch of the Federal Government

State Legislation and Regulation:   Tracks bills and regulations specific to individual states that are pertinent to ASHT
