The Legislation & Reimbursement Division implements initiatives identified in the annual strategic plan, monitors industry, legal and regulatory trends and provides up to date information to members.

Education Division
The Education Division develops, implements and coordinates ASHT's education activities. This includes initiatives identified in ASHT's strategic plan, developing new educational products and courses, and revising existing educational products and offerings. Projects that currently fall under the Education Division include Surgical Demonstration CD-ROMs, the Read and Respond Program, webinars, Hand Therapy Certification Study, workshops, and regional courses.

Research Division
The Research Dvision identifies, implements and coordinates ASHT's research activities as defined in the strategic plan. Projects that currently fall under the Research Division include (but are not limited to) the following: identifying new research grant opportunities, reviewing grant applications, planning the content of the Research Breakfast and coordinating a research course at the Annual Meeting, gathering and tallying evaluations for evidence-based research, promoting submissions to the Journal of Hand Therapy and mentoring prospective researchers.
