Professional Relations
The Professional Relations Division provides support for all international relations, implements initiatives as identified in ASHT's strategic plan, develops public relations initiatives, assesses effectiveness of communication mediums, identifies new opportunities, creates promotion plans for ASHT products and services, implements marketing plan, and provides copy for web updates.

Education Division
The Education Division develops, implements and coordinates ASHT's education activities. These include implementing initiatives identified annually under ASHT's strategic plan, developing new educational products or courses, and updating/revising existing educational products or offerings. Projects that currently fall under the Education Division include the following: Surgical Demonstration CD-ROMs, Read and Respond Program, Webinars, Teleconferences, Hand Therapy Certification Study Module, Regional Courses, etc.

Research Division
The Research Dvision identifies, implements and coordinates ASHT's research activities as defined in the strategic plan. Projects that currently fall under the Research Division include (but are not limited to) the following: identifying new research grant opportunities, reviewing grant applications, planning the content of the Research Breakfast and coordinating a research course at the Annual Meeting, gathering and tallying evaluations for evidence-based research, promoting submissions to the Journal of Hand Therapy and mentoring prospective researchers.

The Advocacy Division implements initiatives as identified in the annual strategic plan, monitors industry, legal and regulatory trends with the ASHT Government Relations staff and works cooperatively with the Professional Relations Division on promotion efforts regarding these issues.
