Welcome to 2015!

Posted by Jane Fedorczyk, PT, PhD, CHT 01/14/2015

The ASHT Board of Directors is off to a productive start in 2015. We held our first board meeting of the year in Philadelphia, focusing on new board member orientation and strategic planning. Although the temperatures were frigid outside the board room, the passion of the ASHT board to support hand therapy practice through education, research and advocacy was hotter than ever!

If you have not already done so, please renew your membership for 2015. ASHT is the only professional organization dedicated to support excellence in hand therapy. There are many programs and services available to our members to support career-long learning, provide networking opportunities with other professionals in hand therapy and advocate for the practice of hand therapy.  Being a member of ASHT will enhance your professional life so you can enrich the lives of your patients, clients, colleagues, students and communities.
As you renew your personal and professional goals at the start of 2015, please take a few minutes to renew your ASHT membership using our convenient online form. Online renewal is fast and convenient. You can also download the application form and remit your dues through the mail. Don’t miss out on member pricing for upcoming events, including the Hand Therapy Review Course, webinars and Journal Club chats. Start your networking early by reminding a colleague to renew his or her membership or inviting a friend to join ASHT. Please feel free to share your comments below about the benefits and rewards you have experienced as an ASHT member.
I am honored to serve as your 2015 ASHT President. Your board of directors is a strong, capable and passionate group of hand therapy professionals eager to make your 2015 membership experience better than ever. We hope to meet all of you this October in Denver for the 38th Annual Meeting.
Happy New Year!
